"Whiskeytown" transports you to another time and place. In capturing images of the area, yet untouched by this devastating Carr fire, these photographs keep a historical record of the area. It was a blessing for me to be able to
be in the right place at the right time in order to do so.

On my nine-foot kayak, I photograph the area throughout many days, from sunrise to sunset. Photographs include the lake, visitors enjoying the area, birds, and animals who reside in the forests and air. The majority of the photos were from my kayak, and many from within the forest and on the beaches. Above and below each photograph, there is a correlating Bible verse, description, and additional words of wisdom to enhance the verse and photograph simultaneously.

I was able to preserve photographs of this area during the years prior to one of California’s biggest fires. No one dreamed there would be a monstrous fire that would both blemish the land. The Carr fire that was about to bring chaos destruction, and death to

The area is recovering. Many acres were left untouched. Others are in the process of new growth and nature building the forests again.

Within these pages are Bible verses which are supportive of the photographs, and accompanying descriptions for them. They combine to create and maintain the Spirit of Whiskeytown Lake, and promises given to us by our Creator. This book will narrate your way in the area, with favorable and relaxing thoughts. It is suitable for all ages, and promises wonderful adventures of the mind and vision.

If you are unable to come to this area to visit, or know others in the same circumstance, buy the book for them so they can visualize actually being here. Being disabled now, myself, I know the inspired work will bring joy specifically to these folks. It is my prayer they will "tour" the area via this book, and the pages within it.
It is also a prayer of mine, that whomever enjoys the content, will grow with the positive words and Bible verses.
