The humor may make the history easier to approach, but some of that history isn’t funny at all.

Using rhyme, humor, straightforward language and illustrated satire, Sherman attempts to jog the reader’s memory through a less painful genre — encouraging us not merely to remember what happened, but to recognize similar warning signs when they appear again.
