Every incident in this book happened. Some of them the author is not proud of, and those were left in on purpose, because the mistakes taught more than the wins did.
It opens with a warning rather than a welcome. Integrity, courage and initiative are not sewn onto a shoulder patch or handed over with a paycheck. If you do not already have them, this is not your field. If you do, this is the book nobody handed you.
