The ESP32-P4 arrived powerful, cheap, and almost completely undocumented. This is the book that makes it behave. Espressif's most capable chip yet gives you dual-core RISC-V, a MIPI-DSI display controller, a camera interface, and enough RAM to run a real touchscreen UI. The catch: when it shipped, almost nothing was documented for Arduino, and half the datasheet's promises took a fight to deliver. Programming the ESP32-P4 is the result of that fight: 36 projects, every one written, compiled, and tested on real hardware, so you can skip the dead ends and build firmware that actually works. You'll start with a "hello world" on the display and finish with on-device machine learning, a Wi-Fi video stream, and a playable game. Inside, you'll build: Every project runs across three of the most capable P4 boards available, the Elecrow CrowPanel Advanced 7", the M5Stack Tab5, and the Waveshare ESP32-P4-ETH, and a single board_config.h swap moves a project from one board to another. Written for makers and embedded developers who know a little Arduino C++ and want to get real work done on the P4 without reverse-engineering the whole ecosystem first. When something only works one specific way, this book tells you which way, and why. All the code is free in the companion repository at github.com/magicsmokepress/About_P4.
