This NHL great was the second overall pick at the 1971 NHL Amateur Draft going to the Detroit Red Wings. Dionne was a six time 50 goal scorer and topped 100 points on eight occasions. In 1979-80, he tied Wayne Gretzky of the Edmonton Oilers for scoring lead and the Art Ross Trophy. Marcel was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1992, two year after the Los Angeles Kings retired his jersey number 16.
Dionne played 1,348 regular season and just 49 playoff games in the National Hockey League between 1971-72 and 1988-89 with the Detroit Red Wings, Los Angeles Kings and New York Rangers.
